CAPTAIN AUSTRALIA
Has-been Hero
Throughout history, most countries have experimented with enhanced soldiers and Australia was no different.
During the crisis in Vietnam, the AUS government secretly deployed a unit of enhanced soldiers. Among them, one 21 year old Brian Baxter. Though they completed their intended goal, the mission was profoundly unsuccessful: Brian was the only survivor.
In an attempt to avoid embarrassment, the Aus military discharged Brian, under a non-disclosure agreement.
After years of therapy and alcohol abuse, he eventually cultivated the persona of Australia's 1st superhero.
His action films were hugely popular but people didn't realise (#auspelling) his super-strength and healing were real, thinking him just another roided-up action hero.
Alas, it wasn't to last. Alcohol, fights, fast cars and women drained him of his money and his status.
Now he's decided to pass the torch to the H.I.T. with the attitude: "Better a has-been than a never-was".
